A surfboard signed by 2014 Margaret River Pro competitors including Kelly Slater, Mick Fanning, Joel Parkinson, Stephanie Gilmore, Laura Enever and many more is up for silent auction in our Margaret River cellar door.
We are currently fundraising for SurfAid, a non-profit humanitarian organisation whose aim is to improve the health, wellbeing and self-reliance of people living in isolated regions connected to us through surfing. They deliver their programs in the Mentawai Islands, 150kms off Indonesia’s West Sumatran coast, Nias Island, off the North Sumatran Coast, and Telo Island to the South. The community based programs involve education in nutrition, hygiene, healthy environments and disease prevention.
As one of our fundraising activities, we have a surfboard which was signed at last year’s Margaret River Pro by over 20 competitors including 11 time ASP World Tour Champion Kelly Slater to go to the highest bidder.
Other signatures are that of Taj Burrow (AUS), Nat Young (USA), Mick Fanning (AUS), Joel Parkinson (AUS), Alejo Muniz (BRA), Perth Standlick (AUS), Michel Bourez (PYF), Nathan Hedge (AUS), Alejo Muniz (BRA), Brett Simpson (USA), Kolohe Andino (USA), Fredrick Patacchia (HAW), Mitch Crews (AUS), Adriano De Souza (BRA), Jack Robinson (AUS), Stephanie Gilmore (AUS), Laura Macaulay (AUS), Laura Enever (AUS), Malia Manuel (HAW) and Alessa Quizon (HAW).
The surfboard can be seen in our Margaret River Cellar Door, along with silent auction forms.
The auction runs until Sunday, February 8 2015.
If you can’t make it into our cellar door, you can also donate to SurfAid by heading to our Everyday Hero fundraising page here.
