We are proud to be the wine sponsors of The YMCA Rat Race, a cheeky cheesy and challenging annual event to be held on Saturday 8th October 2016 in Brisbane.

The YMCA Rat Race is Brisbane’s funnest obstacle race! An 8km Race located around the Brisbane River, Kangaroo Points Cliffs, Botanical Gardens & Captain Burke Park. Teams of 2, 3 or 4 runners will make their way across 12 challenging obstacles while carrying a large inflatable cheese from the start to the finish line. Everyone 16 years and older is welcome to attend.

After you make your way through the cheese-themed obstacle race, you can reward yourself with food, wine and entertainment, with food stalls, wine, cheese and live music until 7pm.

All the proceeds from this event will go towards the YMCA Breakfast program. Sadly, 25% of Australian children go to school hungry every day. The YMCA currently provides more than 500,000 breakfasts a year across 85 schools in South-east Qld. The need is BIG and the YMCA us aiming to extend the reach to 200 schools within the next five years.
